The Artists
A South African born artist who has long held a passion for all things creative.
Alleyne has busied himself with painting, drawing, photography, writing and music since he was a young boy.
All of these different creative hobbies serve to influence his creative direction.
Studied Fashion Design and Art History, since 2017 working as a freelance painter and independent visual artist.
“I often get lost in the images I imagine through what I see, then ponder over connections, and struggle with understanding myself. Drawing is something I can do to capture what I feel.”
This artist loves to play with boundaries of the imaginary. Her artworks are vibrant, multilayered, abstract, surreal.
She mixes photography, abstract drawings, everyday elements, figures and emotions. As she has said many times her storms find their peace in her artworks, maybe they are the (i) of the storm. That’s why she has eyes in every artwork and she believes eyes are the gate to the soul, so, as long as the artwork has eyes, it has a soul, it can talk to you and inspire you, take you in and out.
Explore the complexity of human emotion, the layers of impulse, vulnerability, strength, anger, hurt, power, passion and dive deep into the surreal.
The mastermind behind the project, he believes in every person's right to be happy and knows from experience that, even though the path to happiness and freedom from the demons of our past is fraught with pain, it is perhaps the most worthwhile endeavour any person could embark on. He hopes that his poetry might inspire others to heal too.
