Step 1: Be Aware
After choosing what you want to heal from, the first step is to be aware of your feelings.


Step 2: Understand
After we have allowed ourselves to feel thoroughly, we need to try to understand what it is that we are feeling, but, more importantly, why.


Step 3: Accept
Understanding why someone did a certain thing or why we feel a certain way, doesn’t necessarily imply that we accept it. Let's work on that.


Step 4: Forgive
Just as Understanding doesn’t imply Acceptance (but it facilitates it), thus Acceptance doesn’t imply Forgiveness (but it facilitates it).Â


Step 5: Let Go
Finally, after all of that work, we can sigh it all out and simply let go.
